| Edison is a very kind, modern, well bred and beautiful stallion with top movement. He is very flat kneed , with a very free shoulder, and incredible propulsion at the trot from behind. He has a tremendous uphill and balanced stride at the canter. His movement excels at both Dressage and Hunters. Edison's pedigree includes the superior jumping bloodlines of Escudo I, Espri, Wendekreis and Wanderer. Edison's sire, Celle stallion Escudo I, was the winner of his stallion testing in Adelheidsdorf, Germany in 1994 with excellent scores in all categories. He finished 134.38 overall, with 144.90 in jumping and 115.73 in dressage. He went on to become Hanoverian Showjumping Champion 5 yo in 1996 and German National Showjumping Reserve Champion. Escudo I is known to pass on his excellent rideability, jumping ability, and ideal type. He currently has over 20 approved stallion sons and more than 50% of mares sired by him are States Premium Mares. Additionally, Edison's sire, Escudo I has sired Champion Show Hunters in the USA , including Cool Blue, Dynamic, Be Cool, Way Cool and Exupery. Edison's dam, Wieta, was the winner of her Hanoverian inspection and mare performance test with a 7.84. She is by the famous Weltmeyer son Wolkenstein II and has the refining blood of the well known TB improvement sire in Germany, Lauries Crusader xx.. Edison's first year under saddle resulted in many blue ribbons at USDF shows with scores in Training and 1st Level Dressage with scores ranging from 64%-77% in 2007. Edison will be competing at 1st and 2nd Level Dressage. Look for him in the FEI 5 YO classes in 2008. He also has been lightly started over fences. |

| Edison's grandsire Weltmeyer was Champion of his stallion licensing in 1986, and won his stallion performance test in 1987 with a overall score of 143.96. His dressage index was 143.94 and his jumping index was 141.44. Weltmeyer has produced more than 85 licensed stallions and more than 250 States Premium Mares. His dressage index is 189. Weltmeyer is known to pass on his excellent conformation and movement to his offspring. Plus, they can jump! His offspring have reached the very top levels due to his high heritability. Weltmeyer was Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 1998. |
| Edison's dam sire, Wolkenstein II, is believed to be the best son of Weltmeyer. Wolkenstein II is known for his nearly flawless conformation, faultless character, his willingness to perform, tremendous presence and outstanding dressage and jumping ability. Wolkenstein II was Reserve Champion of his stallion licensing and Champion of his stallion performance test with an overall score of 139.60. He scored 138.89 in dressage and 124.90 in jumping. Wolkenstein II has already produced 22 licensed stallions and 77 States Premium mares. His breeding value in dressage is 153 and 137 in show jumping. |
