Ace had a tremendous amount of heart
Multiple Championships in the Green Conformation & Amateur/Owner - Qualifing for Indoors. And later a Super Star in the Adult Amateur division.
He won the Championship at the 1992 Eastern Regional International Hunter Futurity at age 3.
"Ace" was retired in 2002 and lived happily at the farm where he was THE KING, as well as being a beautiful pasture ornament! He enjoyed spending time out with the weanlings and occasionally "escaped" to go visit the mares.
Late September 2004, he let us know that his on and off 8 year battle with Chronic Laminitis finally got the best of him and he was peacefully put down at
NC State where we offered him for their advanced research on laminitis.
As sad as we were that day ... Ace was happy - he thought he was going to a horse show!
He will be greatly missed.
